The Ministry of Religious Affairs, along with industry experts, introduced the Indonesia Global Halal Fashion (IGHF) initiative at the Indonesia Fashion Week in Jakarta. Led by Muhammad Aqil Irham, the aim is to boost Muslim fashion development and make Indonesia a top hub for halal fashion globally. By focusing on certified halal textiles, Indonesia seeks to strengthen its halal fashion industry, expand domestically, and enter international markets like the Middle East and Europe. Efforts include showcasing Indonesian halal fashion at events such as New York Fashion Week and conducting roadshows in five countries to raise awareness about halal certification. This initiative opens doors for new businesses to enter the growing halal fashion market, backed by government support and opportunities to showcase products globally.
